Patti Bunker

Patti Bunker has been the chief IT officer since early 2015. She is responsible for creating and sustaining an information technology environment that advances the activities and aspirations of The Carter Center. In partnership with organization and program leadership, she devises the technology strategy and directs the planning and implementation of all technology across Carter Center facilities globally.

Before joining the Center, Bunker spent over 30 years in various technology leadership positions in corporate IT, commercial software development, and IT consulting. She has worked in industries such as advertising, retail, nonprofit, banking, commercial software development, and more. Bunker is involved in a variety of technology industry organizations, including NetHope and CIO4Good. She was nominated for Atlanta’s Women in Technology’s Woman of the Year in 2007 and frequently speaks at technical and sector conferences. She graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
