At the initiative of a group of citizens belonging to the Binational Dialogue Group—composed of Colombians and Ecuadorians and supported by The Carter Center and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) — a series of messages geared specifically toward promoting camaraderie between the two countries will be released at their World Cup qualifying match today. The Soccer Federations of Ecuador and Colombia have authorized the technical body and the players to carry out this citizens' proposal, and is consistent with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) regulations.
